Parker County Sheriff Russ Authier swears in his deputies following his own swearing-in ceremony Monday.
Newly appointed Parker County Sheriff Russ Authier was sworn in by District Judge Craig Towson in a ceremony Monday.
Authier also swore in a majority of the sheriffâs deputies during the ceremony, and will swear in the rest of the staff as they are available, according to a release from the Parker County Sheriffâs Office. ....

The state s latest sales tax receipt report reporting numbers for November showed a wide disparity among Bay Area cities regarding revenue trends from those taxes.
On the plus side, the Jan. 8 report from the Texas Comptroller’s Office showed the percentage of sales tax revenue in Friendswood, League City, Dickinson and Seabrook all up by double digits compared with the same period in 2019. ....
