Dec 23, 2020 Photos provided Members of the Fort Frye FFA Rural Soils Team placed 2nd in the virtual state contest held in October. Students qualified for the national contest to be held in Oklahoma May 2021. From left to right the members are: Isaiah Tullius, Morgan Kern, Zach Huffman, Luke Huffman, Taylor Haines, Megan Becker. The Fort Frye FFA has been very successful competing in Career Development Events since the start of the school year, virtually. In September members participated in the Rural Soils Contest, students evaluated soil based on its physical characteristics, texture, and landform. In addition, students suggest best management practices for rural use. In this contest, students placed second in the state of Ohio, earning them a chance to compete in the National Contest held in Oklahoma in May 2021.
