Youth gun violence in Cincinnati has been at this level for a decade

The thing that freaks me out the most is the idea of it become normalized, Moroski said.

For another school board member, Melanie Bates, the violence is personal. Her husband was murdered in 2006 in the couple s front yard by a man who was attempting a robbery. That year at least 17 people under 20 were fatally shot.
