According to PEOPLE, the Del City Police noted that the teen was playing with a pistol in the living room of their home in Del City, Oklahoma at around 11:20 p.m. on Saturday, when he accidentally fired the gun. Police said a bullet went through the wall and struck his 36-year-old mother, Stephanie Rowshawne Jennings, in the head that resulted in her immediate death. ....

The scam is called ‘check washing.’ Sally Ruhl says she put three checks in a USPS collection box located in the Crest Foods parking lot near the intersection of 15th Street and Santa Fe Ave. on Saturday night. “I heard that people in secluded areas might break into mailboxes, but I didn’t think it would be a location that it would happen because it is so busy,” said Ruhl. ....
