The Delhi government on Monday directed all its hospitals to run one-third of its Covid-19 vaccination sites round-the-clock, in order to speed up the immunisation drive in the city.
In its order, deputy secretary of Delhi’s Health and Family Welfare Department S Sunil said that one-third of vaccination sites in all the state government hospitals will function from 9 pm to 9 am from Tuesday. ....

Finance Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday announced mohalla clinics for women, free COVID-19 vaccine for all at government hospitals, and ₹1,293 crore for various projects for expansion of health-related infrastructure.
But the percentage of the budget allocated for schemes and programmes of the health sector has shown only a slight increase to 14% this year from 13.39% in the last budget.
He also said that the government will increase the capacity to administer COVID-19 vaccines to 60,000 persons per day in the next few days from the current level of 45,000 persons daily.
“In Delhi, our government has decided that COVID-19 vaccine will be made available to the people of Delhi free of cost in government hospitals. For this new scheme ‘Aam Aadmi Free Covid Vaccine’, I am proposing an amount of ₹50 crore,” the Minister said. ....

Vaccination is currently underway in Delhi at 192 hospitals, including 56 run by the Delhi government, for people aged 60 years and above and those in the age group of 45-59 years having comorbidities.

New Delhi: The Delhi Budget 2021-22, to be presented in the Assembly session starting Monday, is expected to have a special allocation for free COVID-19 vaccination at Delhi government hospitals, sources said.
The budget is also likely to have proposals to open Sainik Schools in Delhi and promote yoga at a widescale in the city, they said.

New Delhi, Dec 28 : : The Delhi government on Monday informed the Delhi High Court that a meeting of the expert committee which is reviewing the Covid-19 condition in the national capital will take place on January 5.
The submissions were made before the vacation bench of the high court presided by Justice S. Prasad who was hearing a petition challenging the order of the Delhi government reserving 80% ICU beds in 33 private hospitals in the national capital for the Covid-19 patients. ....
