Oatlands drunk driver Samuel Davidson jailed for 28 years over crash that killed four children

Tragedy was inevitable, Judge Bennett said.
The magnitude of the tragedy, though, unimaginable.
Davidson, 30, pleaded guilty to several charges, including four counts of manslaughter.
On the day of the crash, he had spent more than 12 hours drinking, and he was three times over the legal limit when he hit the children.
He also had cocaine and other drugs in his system.
A letter from Samuel Davidson was read out in court, saying he was sorry.

Big change to speed cameras blasted

The changes - blasted as a disgrace and absurd by critics - came into effect in November.
The number of hours the cameras operate also tripled from 7000 hours per month to 21,000 hours and the fleet of cars have been stripped back to look like regular cars parked on the side of the road.

Four young children who were killed in a horror drunk driving accident have been remembered in a heartbreaking memorial service one year after their deaths.
Antony, 13, Angelina, 12, and Sienna Abdallah, 9, and their cousin Veronique Sakr, 11, were all killed after a car ploughed into them in Oatlands in Sydney s north-west on February 1.
Samuel William Davidson, 30, had been driving the ute that hit the children - who were on their way to get ice-cream - and has pleaded guilty to nine charges including four counts of manslaughter.
