Beeping horn breached Workington man's court order A WORKINGTON man who beeped his car horn at his estranged wife – despite a court order banning him from having contact with her – has admitted harassing her. As a result of his actions, David Arthur Blair, 51, of Monkhouse Road, Salterbeck, last year spent 18 days in custody and 270 days on an overnight curfew, Carlisle Crown Court heard. After hearing the case, a judge imposed a 12-month conditional discharge. The charge stated that he had driven past her home and given her a thumbs up. Admitting the harassment by beeping his horn at the woman, the defendant told the court: “I didn’t think that was harassment.”
