We decided just over a year ago to make 2020 our ‘Year of Governance Strengthening’ in the Scotland Malawi Partnership. It seemed like a good idea: with over 300,000 Malawians and Scots working together each year, there was no shortage of goodwill, expertise and energy to draw on to strengthen governance in both our nations.
