Two 18-year-olds have been charged with the murder of David McKnight-Hillman, a youth counselor who was fatally beaten while trying to break up a fight at a Los Angeles group home, according to officials.
Keith Lewis and Nyier Mason each face one count of murder, the Angeles County District Attorney s Office announced on Wednesday.

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - One of two 18-year-old men charged, along with several juveniles, with fatally injuring a counselor who was trying to break up a fight at the South Los Angeles-area residential youth facility where he worked entered a not guilty plea today.
Keith Lewis was charged Tuesday, along with Nyier Mason, with the murder of David McKnight-Hillman, 25. Mason is due in a Los Angeles courtroom for arraignment Thursday.

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Arraignment is scheduled today for one of two 18-year-old men charged, along with several juveniles, with fatally injuring a counselor who was trying to break up a fight at the South Los Angeles-area residential youth facility where he worked.
Nyier Mason was charged Tuesday, along with Keith Lewis, with the murder of David McKnight-Hillman, 25. Lewis entered a not guilty plea on Wednesday.

A youth counselor was beaten to death at a South Los Angeles children and family services facility, and a group of young people has been arrested in connection with the attack, authorities said.
David Mcknight-Hillman, a 25-year-old employee of Wayfinder Family Services, was trying to break up a fight among a group of youths when they turned on him, said Deputy Joana Warren, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies responded to the 5300 block of Angeles Vista Boulevard in Windsor Hills at 9:51 p.m. Saturday to a call about a fight at the facility, a nonprofit organization that provides residential therapeutic services to youths placed by Los Angeles County’sDepartment of Children and Family Services. ....
