The North Louisiana Economic Partnership introduced new CEO and President Justyn Dixon on Tuesday in both Shreveport and Monroe.
Dixon replaces Scott Martinez, who resigned last July to take a position as the president and CEO of the Tyler (Texas) Economic Development Council and the CEO of the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce.
NLEP Chairman Chap Breard said there were 48 applicants for the position. Those applicants were trimmed to eight and finally three before deciding on Dixon as the group s next CEO and president.
We had many great candidates, but we selected Justyn for his entrepreneurial drive and knowledge of what it takes to compete for companies, Breard said. He was recommended by some of the best in the business and Justyn is coming here at the right time. ....
