WALLOWA COUNTY â The first priority of firefighters in their battle against the Elbow Creek Fire in northern Wallow County â or any blaze â is the safety of people endangered by the flames. Thatâs why the various levels of evacuation orders were given starting late last week.

Paul Karvoski, emergency services director for Wallowa County, explained the difference in the levels during an in-brief meeting Saturday, July 17, in Wallowa.

An interdisciplinary research team at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) has now developed a new approach: they engulf and neutralize viruses with nano-capsules tailored from genetic material using the DNA origami method.
