I have read a lot of hoopla regarding the wind-turbine assembly that is supposedly going to take place in New London. Playing favorites with policy and permitting, to the point of potential corruption − as has been seen with this project − is typical of a blue state.
Besides that, what I have not heard about, and would like to know, is whether there has been a noise pollution study done on the ultra-low frequency these wind generators put out? These inaudible frequencies have been known to cause sleep deprivation. And, being offshore, what about the marine life? We are not the only ones living on this planet, and these marine animals should have a non-polluted environment in which to live and make a home. Ultra-low frequencies are used to communicate to deep submerged submarines. What effect will this have on the creatures that call the ocean home? Even ship sonar is limited, due to the effect it has on ....

Amid multiple bouts of quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic, Mount Desert Island High School’s longtime art teacher and artist got creative to find purpose and enjoyment, all the while providing entertainment and meaning to his communities at work and home.
Throughout the coronavirus’s course, Dan has been living with his girlfriend, Janet Higgins, in her “little red camp” tucked on Shady Nook Lane in Trenton.
