Ob „Daddy Cool“ oder „Rasputin“: Wie am Fließband hat Musikproduzent Frank Farian jahrzehntelang tanzbare Welthits erschaffen. Der Durchbruch erstaunte ihn selbst. „Der Erfolg war eine riesengroße Überraschung. Ich hatte immer gedacht, ich schaffe es nicht. Es sah ja auch anfangs nicht danach aus“, sagte er. Am Sonntag (18. Juli) wird Farian 80 Jahre alt. Gefeiert wird an seinem Wohnort Miami. „Vom Studio aus in die Sonne schauen: Das habe ich mir immer gewünscht.“ ....

For many years, readers of the
Straight have picked Peckinpah as one of the best barbecue joints in Vancouver.
In the 2019 edition of the paper’s Golden Plates edition, the Gastown restaurant made it to the top three of the most popular barbecue places in town.
Named after the late Sam Peckinpah, a legendary American filmmaker known for gritty movies like The Wild Bunch and The Getaway, the establishment opened in 2010.
Restaurant designer Ryan Murfitt and restaurateur Tyson Reimer created Peckinpah out of a space at the Byrnes Block, a heritage building. ....
