Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Yesterday, March 10, Ambassador Extraordinary
and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Mongolia Hiroyuki Kobayashi and the UNICEF
Representative Alex Heikens signed an Exchange of Notes on the ‘COVID-19
pandemic and Public Health Emergency Capacity Building Project’ to be
implemented in Mongolia through the United Nations Children s Fund (UNICEF)
under a grant from the Government of Japan.  
Present at the ceremony were State Secretary of the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs N. Ankhbayar, State Secretary of the Ministry of Health Ts.
Erdembileg and relevant officials of the ministries and UNICEF Mongolia Office.

Ghana has recorded a historic first in Africa, for the international partnership to provide equitable COVID-19 vaccine for all.
Six hundred thousand doses of the lifesaving COVID-19 vaccine from the United Nations-partnered COVAX initiative have landed the West African country.
The joint UN-led COVAX initiative aimed to start shipping about 90 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines to Africa this February, according to World Health Organisation (WHO) early in the month. The immunization rollout will be the continent’s largest ever mass vaccination campaign.
WHO Regional Director for Africa, Matshidiso Moeti, highlighted that the deployment is a “critical first step” to ensure countries access to vaccines. ....
