Jackson school receives grant for water bottle filling station

JACKSON, Tenn. A local school has been granted a water bottle filling station.
Jackson Careers and Technology School is among 55 other elementary schools who’ve been awarded a “Water’s Cool @ School” grant.
Delta Dental of Tennessee is replacing the selected school’s current water fountains with a new Elkay Bottle Filling station.
They will also be granting the schools toothbrushes for students, faculty and staff.
The school’s principal, James Walker says this is much needed for students as it will sustain their physical health.
“It’s very important that students are hydrated each day and that they are feeling well because if they feel okay, then they’re more apt to being able to do work and function here at school,” Walker said. ....

3 Clarksville schools awarded water fountain grants from Delta Dental

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Delta Dental has announced that 55 elementary schools from across the state were selected to receive “Water’s Cool @ School” grants to replace an existing water fountain with a new Elkay bottle filling station to celebrate its 55
th anniversary.
Three elementary schools in Clarksville were awarded: Barkers Mill Elementary, Byrns Darden Elementary, and St. Bethlehem Elementary, according to a press release sent from Delta Dental of Tennessee
Delta Dental launched the grant program last year to educate students on the benefits of drinking more water.
“Thank you to all of the schools that applied for a Water’s Cool @ School grant. We were so impressed by the creativity of the video and art projects that accompanied many submissions,” said Dr. Phil Wenk, CEO, and president of Delta Dental of Tennessee. “Especially at a time when so many traditional water fountains are closed to prevent the spread ....

A news release from Delta Dental of Tennessee says it has selected 55 schools to receive the “Water’s Cool @ School” grant.
Delta Dental says that this grant will be used by schools to install new Elkay bottle filling stations, and provide toothbrushes to students and staff.
