If there s two things Golden Week means to me since I don t live in Japan, it s Nintendo s fiscal year earnings are delayed and not a lot of releases . The big one is Skate City, as SkaterXL increasingly looks like vapourware on Switch and we still have a few months before the Hawk returns to Nintendo platforms. Other things of note: Raiden IV gets a kickin soundtrack on Switch in the shooter genre, and strategy title The Colonists is also due. ....
Five Nights At Freddy s Rumors: Ultimate Custom Night Mashup Game Rolls Out Console Version KEY POINTS The Ultimate Custom Night Switch version will be available in Europe starting May 5 Five Nights at Freddy s gamers get the chance to set challenges through animatronics and difficulty levels Gamers who have long been waiting for the “Five Nights at Freddy’s” mashup game to come out for consoles are in for a treat. “Ultimate Custom Night,” which was originally released in 2018, is finally out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, giving “FNAF” fans a new game to check out. “Ultimate Custom Night” players can select from among 50 animatronics. For those who followed the “Five Nights at Freddy’s” series, these are animatronics that spanned through the past seven “FNAF” games. ....
R-Type is back! It is perhaps not the best R-Type, but it is certainly R-Type. Really nice to be playing a brand new entry in this classic series, and one that seems to have been a serious passion project at that. However, I would be remiss in my duties if I failed to mention that this Switch version is quite rough. The framerate bounces up and down depending on what’s happening on-screen, and the load times are significant, even between deaths. Those are two things you really don’t want to see in a shoot-em-up in particular. Can you still have fun with it? Sure, if you can tolerate framerate dips and generally iffy technical performance, there’s a good shooter in here. But if you have any other option, you should take it. ....
