Jade, who is a Singaporean online personality and healthcare worker, had questioned why her Indonesian helper was released from quarantine just days after her arrival in Singapore, only to test positive for Covid-19 later. SINGAPORE - The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) has apologised to former DJ Jade Rasif for saying that her account of her domestic worker s Covid-19 scare was “inaccurate”. In a Facebook post on Saturday night (May 22), MOM said it was retracting its point about Ms Rasif’s account and redacting the word “inaccurate” from its post last Monday. “We note that the use of the word ‘inaccurate’ and one of the points in our 17 May FB post could have portrayed Ms Rasif to be providing an inaccurate account on the Quarantine Order investigation,” the ministry said in its post. “She shared with us that this had affected her negatively. We would like to extend our apologies to her for this.” ....

The government will provide a S$27 million one-off top up to the Covid-19 Driver Relief Fund (CDRF) for taxi and private hire car (PHC) drivers, amid the increased Covid-19 regulations in place during Phase 2 (Heightened Alert). Eligible drivers will receive an additional S$10 per day top-up through the CDRF from May 16, 2021, to end June 2021. Drivers will now receive S$25 per vehicle per day, up from the existing S$15 per vehicle per day. All taxi and PHC drivers who are eligible for the CDRF will automatically receive the top-up through their operators, and drivers need not make an application. Maymí-González, Irene Viera] Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and as new information has become available, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local governments have continuously revised their isolation and quarantine requirements and recommendations. The constantly changing guidelines and executive orders makes it difficult to keep track of the changes and their applicability to different circumstances. Accordingly, below we summarize the progression and current status of CDC recommendations and Puerto Rico mandates and provide a brief timeline on the modification of isolation and quarantine requirements since the start of Puerto Rico’s COVID-19 state of emergency. Finally, we summarize the recently amended quarantine and isolation provisions for air passengers arriving in Puerto Rico. ....
