Canadian Mental Health:Tax volunteer needed to complete tax returns for CMHA clients. This position is perfect for a retired person or someone with a few hours available each month from May to February and can do 10 to 15 returns a week in the busy tax season of March and April.
Overlander Ski Club:Various positions available. Groomers must hold a valid B.C. driver s licence and be flexible with hours to operate machinery according to weather conditions. Trail maintenance personnel must be in good physical condition. May need to know chainsaw operation or be able to pull seedlings, trim shrubs and brush from trails. Also needed are loppet volunteers, aid-station attendants, parking attendants and refreshment assistants. ....

Save for this past Monday, we have not seen a lot of snow so far this fall and winter, but it is unlikely the city’s streets and walkways will remain clear from now until spring.
The Snow Angels program is at about half the capacity it like to be at in terms of numbers of volunteers.
“Normally, we help over 100 seniors every season,” said Ainsley Tymchyna, volunteer co-ordinator for the program.
“Right now, we’re sitting about 60 percent of that.”
The Snow Angels service all areas of Kamloops, so volunteers are welcome from every neighbourhood, but Tymchyna said the need is usually greatest on the North Shore. ....
