Half a decade after it collapsed, City Hall hopes to finally begin reconstructing a gabion wall in a Luyang neighbourhood.
A pile of rocks has been lying in compounds of several homes in Taman Dixon since the structure behind Lorong Apens 2 fell in 2016.
The affected back yard fences still have not been properly restored.

On top of this stones occasionally roll down the slope, formerly held up the wall, clogging the drains at the back of homes nearby. ....

A SEVERELY emaciated and sick pooch covered “stone-like” scabs, malnourished and dehydrated dog was doomed to a slow death covered in fleas feasting on his flesh.
He was abandoned and in bad shape but was getting a second chance at life when a good Samaritan discovered him and called us. To the good Samaritan, you are our hero, thank you for your kindness.
The abandoned canine was too weak to stand up, and was found abandoned in between the two large water tanks at Taman Century shop houses. ....

Covid-19: Record 18 deaths, 3,631 new cases nationwide, 453 in Sabah | Daily Express Online

PETALING JAYA: The health ministry has reported a record of 18 deaths and 3,631 Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 2,554 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 132,706.
In a statement, Noor Hisham said the total number of infections now stands at 176,180.

There are 42,814 active cases with 251 patients being treated in intensive care and 102 requiring respiratory assistance.
Meanwhile, the 18 deaths bring the number of fatalities to 660.
All but one of the 18 deaths were Malaysians. Nine of them were from Selangor, three from Sabah, two each from Kuala Lumpur and Sarawak, and another one each from Johor and Penang. ....

COVID-19 |  The Health Ministry today reported 18 new Covid-19 related deaths - the highest ever - amidst 3,631 new Covid-19 cases nationwide.
