ISLAMABAD: China has started manufacturing of third Tpye-054A Class Frigate for the Pakistan Navy while Turkey has also begun to manufacture second MILGEM Class Corvette Keel.
The ships launching ceremonies were held at Hudong Zhonghua (HZ) Shipyard Shanghai, China, and Istanbul Naval Shipyard (INSY), Turkey. Both the ceremonies were graced by the respective countries’ Chief Naval Overseers, the spokesman of the Pakistan Navy said on Saturday. Type 054 A/P Class Frigate will be most technologically advanced surface platform of Pakistan Navy Fleet, fitted with state-of-the-art surface, subsurface and anti-air weapons, combat management system and sensors. These ships will significantly contribute to maintaining peace and security in the Indian Ocean. Disgusting is how one parent describes the discarded broken glass making playgrounds in Rotorua dangerous for kids.
The issue has become so concerning at one playground that the Rotorua Lakes Council has closed it and
suspects some glass was left on the ground with the intent to cause injury.
Council sport, recreation and environment manager Rob Pitkethley told the Rotorua Daily Post glass was again becoming an issue at Susan St playground. ....

GILGIT: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday admitted to making “many mistakes” in the past when it came to awarding tickets for elections.
“I have made many mistakes in giving tickets in the past and often think about these,” he said while unveiling a development package for Gilgit Baltistan worth Rs370 billion here at a ceremony. “But the CM (Khalid Khurshid) is the right choice,” he added.
The Gilgit Baltistan development package was announced with special focus on boosting tourism by enhancing road and aerial connectivity, power supply and upgradation of education and health facilities. ....
