Glasgow butcher falls 10,000ft from sky to raise money for mental health charities

A SOUTH Side butcher fell 10,000 feet from the sky in a bid to raise as much money as he could for mental health charities.
Brave Martin Inglis received a voucher for a skydive as a surprise for his milestone birthday a couple of years ago.
The 42-year-old, who has owned and worked at Martin’s Quality Butchers in Nitshill, for the last 16 years, said it was something that has always been on his bucket list.
“After I got booked in I thought it would be good to try raise some money for charity,” Martin said.
“The amount of people that’s taken their own lives in the area is more or less at an all-time high. I’ve never known so many.” ....

Cumbernauld mum-of-five dies suddenly after catching coronavirus

TRIBUTES have poured in for a mum-of-five who died after catching Covid-19.
Karen Conway, a 44-year-old author from Cumbernauld, passed away following a short and sudden battle with coronavirus.
Her heartbroken husband Paul paid tribute to his wife via his business Facebook page - Paul s Quality Butchers, based in Condorrat.
In a post widely shared on social media, he wrote: With total shock and with a heavy heart my amazing wife Karen passed away on the January 18 with short and sudden battle with Covid.
Words can’t begin to tell you how myself and our five kids are feeling right now, your future was going to be so exciting, bright and positive especially with your new business venture The Room Upstairs. ....
