MADRID – “Across the Fence: Helping our Youth Cope with Grief and Anxiety,” is being offered by Madrid Hepburn Library as a live event on their Facebook page April 27.
“Please join us for a special Across the Fence - Our Community Partners on Tuesday, April 27, at 4:00 pm, live on our Facebook page, for an important conversation with Mary Jones, BSW, CT, Director of Family Support Services, Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley, and Kelsey Jones, Chair of the Suicide Awareness Coalition,” said Library Director Deborah Chase-Lauther.
“Mary and Kelsey will provide guidance on how we can help unpack the grief and anxiety our young community may be experiencing while coming to terms with the recent tragic loss of two young people,” she said. ....

Hill County Behavioral Health Local Advisory Council members discussed plans for a $20,000 grant received by the county from the Addictive and Mental Disorders Division of the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services, and how it could be used.
LAC Chair Andi Daniel said she spoke with Hill County Public Health Director and Health Officer Kim Larson, who told her that the terms of the grant, which did not include many of the activities council members hoped to use the funds for, could be amended to include training and service increases as possible uses for the funds. ....

LAC hears presentation on CONNECT Referral System

A local council is looking at a web-based system to improve connecting people with health services.
Hill County Behavioral Health Local Advisory Council listened to a presentation Monday about the CONNECT Referral System, which is being set up throughout Montana, and what it can offer organizations like theirs.
Coordinator for the Hill County Youth Reporting Center Matt Erdel gave the presentation and said he wanted to talk about system and its benefits.
Erdel said CONNECT is a web-based system designed to facilitate the coordination of care between organizations medical and otherwise to.
