US-China Relations: The Way Forward , hosted by the China-U.S. Exchange Foundation (CUSEF) and the China Center for International Economic Exchanges (CCIEE), speakers examined the new and existing global challenges facing U.S.-China relations and the key areas that the two countries will need to focus on including fighting COVID-19, climate change, and cybersecurity.
2020 was a year of unprecedented turmoil. HSWU gives government a month to pay insurance package to affected members

The Health Services Workers Union (HSWU) has given one month to pay all insurance package it promised its members who contracted the COVID-19 while discharging their duty.
According to the Union, it will advise itself if the government fails to heed to their legitimate request.
Mr Franklin Owusu Ansah, the General Secretary of the Union, announced this at a press conference in Accra to highlight the Resolution of their just ended 12th Quadrennial National Delegate Conference of the Union.
He said so far, data collected from the facilities revealed that more than 120 of their members contracted the deadly virus, out of which four died. ....

Switzerland takes over the Presidency of the Alpine Convention from France

Bern, 10.12.2020 - Switzerland, represented by the President of the Swiss Confederation, Simonetta Sommaruga, took over the Presidency of the Alpine Convention from France at the 16th Alpine Conference on 10 December 2020. During its two-year incumbency, Switzerland will focus on climate protection and the modal shift policy in the Alpine region, and will work closely with other Alpine States to achieve its aims.
Climate change is increasingly impacting the Alpine regions and knows no borders. The environment ministers who took part in the online 16th Alpine Conference agreed on the urgency for Alpine-wide cooperation to protect the climate.
