SRINAGAR: To prepare an Action Plan for tackling a possible third wave of COVID-19 pandemic in the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir, a committee has been constituted for formulating an Action Plan for tackle it, an official spokesman said.
He said sanction is hereby accorded to constitution of a Committee for formulating an Action Plan for tackling a possible third wave of COVID-19 in the UT.

Govt gears up to tackle third wave of COVID in J&K UT

JAMMU, May 18: As there is all possibility of third wave of COVID in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the Government has constituted a high-level committee for formulation of Action Plan so that all arrangements are put in place to tackle the pandemic in the effective manner.
However, the experts have already suggested the Government to block the spread of infection as early as possible by vaccinating the population on war footing basis as the same is the only option left to make the third wave mild.
The General Administration Department today constituted a committee with Dr M S Khuroo, Ex-Director SKIMS Soura as Chairman and Dr Shakti Gupta, Executive Director and CEO All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) Jammu as its Co-Chairman. ....
