MINSK, 18 May (BelTA) – The Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine produced in Belarus is distributed only after its quality has been confirmed, Belmedpreparaty Director General Sergei Belyayev told the STV TV channel, BelTA informs.
The Belmedpreparaty pharmaceutical company is running three projects that have to do, in one way or another, with vaccine development. “The first one is partial localization of the Sputnik V production, or the so-called vaccine bottling,” Sergei Belyayev said. He noted that the Sputnik V vaccine bottled in Belarus is absolutely identical to the Sputnik V vaccine manufactured in Russia. ....

MINSK, 7 May (BelTA) – Belarus will soon receive a batch of the Chinese COVID-19 vaccine for 150,000 people, Deputy Healthcare Minister – Chief Sanitary Inspector of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Tarasenko told journalists on 7 May, BelTA has learned.
“We expect to receive the Chinese vaccine against COVID-19 for 150,000 people in the near future,” he said. The batch of Chinese jabs will be supplied as humanitarian aid from the Chinese government.
Vaccinations with the Russian Sputnik V jab bottled at the Belarusian pharmaceutical company Belmedpreparaty are in full swing in Belarus. ....

Studies on new variants of the coronavirus and on the two new outbreaks of the so-called Indian mutation are crucial to prevent another wave of infections, the health minister said on Tuesday.
Adam Niedzielski told a press conference that we can see that one of the main efforts and challenges that should be undertaken now is building an effective mechanism for tracking and studying the types of virus variants we currently are dealing with.
He said that such a team and, moreover, such a mechanism had been established. It includes, among other officials, representatives of the Chief Sanitary Inspector and the National Institute of Public Health. ....

MINSK, 15 March (BelTA) – There is a growing concern about Minskers unwillingness to take precautions to curb the spread of the coronavirus infection. The epidemiological situation in Minsk and other matters were discussed by the Minsk City Council on 15 March, BelTA learned from the Minsk.Officially Telegram channel.

All people arriving in Poland, especially those from the UK, can have a free Covid test owing to the mutation of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
In order to get the test, travellers must contact a special information line, the Chief Sanitary Inspector (GIS) said.
