READ MORE:
The Chief Medical Officer will today be expanding the Commonwealth hot spot designation to align with the regions identified by the New South Wales government, these being greater Sydney, Blue Mountains, Central Coast and Wollongong regions.
Professor Kidd said hotspot status meant the government would be able to provide further support for residents impacted by the lockdown, which is expected to last two weeks.
