Despite reports to the contrary, Montana’s Glacier National Park is not sold out, and there’s still time to reserve entry and shuttle tickets for Yosemite, Rocky Mountain, and Zion. Here’s everything you need to know about the national parks requiring reservations this year.
Going-to-the-Sun entry reservation tickets will be available at www.Recreation.gov starting April 29 at 8 a.m.
The system will require visitors to set up an account on www.Recreation.gov and obtain a vehicle entry reservation ticket at ($2 nonrefundable fee) to enter the 50 mile long Going-to-the-Sun Road (GTSR) corridor at the West Glacier and St. Mary entrances between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.Â
Entry reservation tickets will not be required for those with lodging, camping, transportation or commercial activity within the GTSR corridor. Landowners with property within the GTSR corridor and affiliated tribal members are also not required to have a GTSR entry reservation ticket.

KALISPELL, Mont. - Park officials in Montana have clarified an upcoming ticketed entry system for Going-to-the-Sun Road this summer.
Officials first proposed that visitors validate their seven-day tickets on the first day in an effort to manage congestion and avoid potential closures because of the pandemic and road construction.
Glacier National Park officials have since removed the requirement, meaning visitors can now validate their tickets on any day of the seven-day reservation, the Hungry Horse News reported Wednesday.
The tickets will be available online-only starting on April 29 and require a nonrefundable $2 processing fee, officials said. About 4,600 tickets will be made available daily when the 50-mile (80-kilometre) alpine road is fully open.
