New Community 50/50 to pinch hit for four non-profits

The Lloydminster Community 50/50 is up and running and four local non-profits will be cashing in.
As residents get a shot at some extra cash, the new 50/50 lottery will offer an extra monthly money flow for Border City Connects, Lloydminster Region Health Foundation, The Olive Tree and Lloydminster Rescue Squad.
Deputy Chief Ryan Leblanc with the Lloydminster Rescue Squad says they are seeing increased demand for their services at this time.
“With lots of people staying at home and at the lakes, it has increased our call volumes. So with that comes a little bit more expense. It’s going to be nice just to keep us on the road and offer some cash flow for us that we can utilize to assist the community.” ....

Lloydminster Rescue Squad making waves with Water Wishes project

Numerous companies and several families across the Border City have come on board to ring up some welcome donations for the Lloydminster Rescue Squad.
The local not-for-profit has been serving the emergency medical and rescue needs of the region since 1984. Deputy Chief Ryan Leblanc has been with the rescue squad for some six years and is buoyed by the community generosity.
“We are so excited. We are approximately 50 thousand dollars away from meeting our hard target. We are so happy to be able to acquire some of this new equipment that’s so needed for our region.” ....
