Police: Baby shot to death by older brother in Houston
FOX 26 Reporter Ivory Hecker has the latest as Houston police are investigating after they said a baby was shot to death by an older brother on Friday.
HOUSTON - An eight-month-old baby is dead, and police say he was shot by his three-year-old brother at a home in Houston Friday.
It happened around 11 a.m. at the Waterford Grove Apartments on Crestdale Drive.
Looks like it’s most likely, sadly, occurred by the three-year-old brother of the infant, said Asst. Chief Wendy Bainbridge with Houston Police. It was just one gunshot to the abdomen, and unfortunately our little one is deceased. ....

When he asked national experts which city to use as a model for mental health crisis response systems, Harris Center for Mental Health CEO Wayne Young said he was pointed back to Houston.
“They said, ‘If anyone else had made this call and asked where to look, we would have told them that Houston was the place to look in terms of innovation and collaboration,” said Young, a member of the mayor’s police reform task force who spoke to the City Council’s public safety committee in November. ....
