It was a fait accompli that Truex would complete the clean sweep, uncontested. Even on an afternoon where everyone was suffering from a lack of grip with the 750 horsepower, low downforce competition package, Truex had the best driving car and could do whatever he needed the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 19 to do.
