The town centre does benefit from still being at the heart of Ipswich's entertainment scene - with cinemas and theatres and most pubs and restaurants.
But Mr Clement said it was still important to get more people living in the heart of Ipswich.
"We are still 'under-lived' and it is good to see more homes being built or converted from existing buildings. What is also needed is more independent food shops selling locally-grown and produced items."

Woman Dies After Being Pulled From River In Fairfield County

A woman whose body was pulled from a river in Fairfield County has died.
The 41-year-old Bridgeport woman was found floating early Friday, July 23, in the area of the Pequonnock River in Trumbull between White Plains Road and Quarry Road, said police.
The woman was discovered unresponsive in the water prior to being pulled from the river, said Trumbull Police Lieutenant Brian D. Weir.
"There were other individuals in the area during this time, who eventually observed the woman in the water and called 911," he said.
Trumbull Police, Trumbull Center Fire Department, and Trumbull EMS arrived shortly after and pulled the victim out of the water.

Bridgeport parks to open for the season on Saturday

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Public parks in the City of Bridgeport will officially open for the season on
Saturday, May 29.
Mayor Joe Ganim made the announcement Monday as many people look to head outdoors with warmer weather approaching.
Seaside Park and Beardsley Park will be open to residents and visitors on Memorial Day weekend with a park sticker or day pass.
Starting
on June 19, the city's splash pads will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Here are the splash pad locations:
Newfield-Jessup Park Splash Pad - 104 Eagle Street (East End)
Puglio Park Splash Pad - 3531 Madison Avenue (North End)
