Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk called for cuts to German red tape on Monday as he said it was unclear when exactly the first electric car would roll off the production line of its planned plant outside Berlin.
Last month Tesla delayed the opening of its first European gigafactory to late 2021 from an initial July 1 date after adding plans to also establish a battery cell plant on site as well as a lengthy approval processes.. ....

Virgin Australia has again deferred returning to most New Zealand routes because of a weak demand outlook.
The airline had already pushed out a planned return to most transtasman routes from June to October but today has not put a date on a resumption to most destinations.
While it will push ahead with Sydney-Queenstown and Brisbane-Queenstown, as planned from September 18 and Melbourne-Queenstown services from December 7, other flights into Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch are off.

Motorists on Auckland s Northern Motorway are set to face delays due to lane closures.
All southbounds lanes are closed at the southbound Upper Harbour Highway off-ramp due to downed power lines earlier this afternoon.
Repairs were completed by about 3pm, but the earlier closure has caused congestion.
