Forestation drive underway in Tal Abyad, area liberated last year from YPG/PKK terrorists.
With Turkish support, some 75,000 trees have been planted in an area of northern Syria Turkey cleared of terrorists, Turkish authorities said Wednesday.
In October 2019 the Tal Abyad district was liberated from YPG/PKK terrorists by Operation Peace Spring, carried out by the Turkish Armed Forces and the Syrian National Army.
The saplings were planted in Tal Abyad as part of a forestation drive by the forestry authority in Turkey s border province of Sanliurfa in coordination with the Syria Support and Coordination Center (SUDKOM). ....

Turkey and the Assad regime have traded blame over the cutoff of water supplies to residents in northeast Syria.
On Sunday, Turkey authorities repeated that they were not responsible for halting supplies from the Allouk water station, which supplies Hasakah Province.
The officials said only three of six pumps were working. However, they cited a lack of electricity and declared that the Assad regime, cutting the power 10 times, had supplied only 27 hours in November and 30 in the first week of December on the pretext of “power plant maintenance”. ....

As a charismatic revolutionary from a scrappy Cairo neighbourhood, Ahmed Hassan was one of the stars of Jehane Noujaim’s 2013 documentary The Square, which followed a group of Egyptian activists as they toppled longtime ruler Hosni Mubarak in 2011 and then fought to keep their faltering revolution alive.
The film won three Emmy Awards and was nominated for the Oscars. But Hassan’s life got harder after it was released.
His work as a cinematographer and filmmaker dried up as production companies stopped hiring him, perhaps because he was blacklisted.

ERBIL (Kurdistan 24) – A Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) spokesperson on Sunday rejected claims that the SDF had handed over the strategic town of Ain Issa to Syrian government forces.
“There are no changes to the control of Ain Issa. We are committed to previous agreements, and there are no new understandings. If there are to be new deals, they will be officially announced,” SDF spokesman Kino Gabriel told Kurdistan 24 on Sunday. ....

Syrian regime's claim of cutting water supply not true

Syrian regimeâs propaganda that the water in Allouk water station, which meets the need of the Hasakah region, was cut off deliberately, does not reflect the truth, say Turkish authorities.
The water needs of Syriaâs Hasakah province are met by 12 of the 30 water wells in the Allouk Water Station, according to Turkish sources.
Turkish sources stated that the water is supposed to be supplied with six pumps working at full capacity. Due to the low electric energy, three pumps are operating.
The Syrian regime has cut the power by 10 times and supplied for 27 hours in November and 30 hours in the first week of December on the pretext of maintenance of the power plant. ....
