Woman hurt by gunfire in Edwardsville

EDWARDSVILLE One person was injured by gunfire Thursday night in Edwardsville.
Illinois State Police report that, at about 7:08 p.m. Thursday, troopers responded to a shooting at the bottom of the ramp from Illinois 255 northbound at New Poag Road. State police said a female victim was airlifted to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries sustained from a gunshot wound while she was in her vehicle.
Police did not release any other information on the victim.
According to state police, the suspect vehicle in the incident is unidentified. The Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 6 is continuing the investigation. ....
