Diamantaire Mehul Choksi has landed in Antigua and Barbuda, where he has been staying since 2018 after leaving India, after getting interim bail from the Dominica High Court, local media reported.
Antigua News Room in its report said Choksi reached Antigua and Barbuda from Dominica after staying there for 51 days in custody for illegal entry, but his lawyers claimed that he was kidnapped and brought there.
Choksi (62) was given bail by Dominica HC to travel back to Antigua for seeking medical help from a neurologist there.
After depositing the bail money of EC Dollars 10,000, Choksi flew back to Antigua in a chartered plane, Antigua News Room reported.

granted bail to Mehul Choksi on the basis of his health condition, which includes neurological disorders, heart condition, and diabetes. The court also allowed him to return to Antigua for his treatment.
