Kennewick PD searching for wanted man and woman from December kidnapping case

KENNEWICK, WA - On December 1, 2020, officers responded to a reported kidnapping and assault.
Upon contact with the 36-year-old female victim, it was reported that she had gone to 119 N Volland St, Kennewick, WA, a suspected drug location, to purchase narcotics.
Once inside she was allegedly detained and held against her will while being assaulted and robbed. The victim was later released and was treated at an area hospital for minor injuries.
The initial report was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division who identified Sergio Delgado and Kristin Link as the suspects and developed probable cause for their arrest. Arrest warrants have since been issued for their arrest. ....

Machete Man Arrested After 7 Hour SWAT Standoff in Kennewick
What began as a domestic dispute turned into a 7 hour standoff with Kennewick Police and the SWAT Team.
Around 2:30PM, Police were called to 2906 West 7th #77 in Kennewick, inside the Whispering Winds Mobile Home Park. 28-year-old Socrates A. Diaz had allegedly chased family members through the home with several large machete knives, threatening to kill them.
They were able to escape without injury and call 911. When Police arrived Diaz initially came outside, but then went back in and refused to talk with officers or follow commands. The Tri-Cities Regional SWAT Team was brought in. ....

Police were called to a disturbance in the 2900 block of West 7th Avenue Wednesday at 2:30 pm. When officers arrived they learned that 28-year old Socrates A. Diaz allegedly threatened to kill family members while chasing them with machetes.
The family escaped the residence without injury, while Diaz, who initially fled, returned inside, refusing to communicate with officers.
According to a release from Kennewick Police Lieutenant Aaron Clem:
As this escalated into a barricaded subject, now wanted for Assault 2nd Degree DV (Domestic Violence), the Tri-Cities Regional SWAT Team responded to take over the scene. After almost 7 hours of on-going de-escalation techniques, including verbal communications, Noise Flash Diversion Devices, introduction of chemical agents and less lethal deployments. ....
