Staff and residents celebrated the incredible life of Doreen Gordon on Tuesday, March 2.
Mrs Gordon was born in Southampton in 1921 and served as a nurse at the city s hospital during the Second World War.

It was here that she had to help to evacuate her patients when the hospital was destroyed with incendiary bombs.
Mrs Gordon met her husband, who was a doctor at the hospital, and the pair married in 1943.
After the war, they lived in Oxford before settling in Bewdley with their two children in 1952. ....
