Kolkata: Smartphone maker Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth said the massive pent-up demand in the market has normalized and demand is now back to pre-Covid level though he expects the Indian smartphone market will touch around 170 million handsets in calendar 2021. He also said the company is going to absorb the duty hike on components announced in the last Budget.
The Indian market has sold around 150 million smartphones in calendar 2020. Sheth said supply issues of components have stabilized and production too has reached pre-Covid levels. ....
