The Honea Path Fire Department is investigating a suspicious fire that occurred at the old Chiquola Mill Monday afternoon, according to Fire Chief Jimmy Smith. The Honea Path Fire Department spent Tuesday investigating a structure fire that happened at the mill around 4 p.m. on Monday. Upon arrival, two buildings and a large debris pile behind the main building were on fire. The mill has been abandoned for years and there were no injuries. A large section of the main building is now gone. During their investigation Tuesday, they found multiple points of origin for the fire, which leads them to believe the fire was arson. ....
