Two residential fires in a span of 24 hours highlight DFD skill
Hanukkah is the Jewish eight-day, wintertime “festival of lights,” celebrated with a nightly menorah lighting, special prayers and fried foods. A Jewish man in Dickinson watched helplessly as firefighters battled a significant residential fire leaving his home all but destroyed after an unattended menorah candle set fire to the home on Tuesday evening. AND On Wednesday afternoon a second residential fire damaged a home on Sims Street in Dickinson, causing near $50,000 worth of damage.
