Worcester chamber launches pro-Worcester commercial


The Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce is launching a 30-second commercial promoting Worcester, set to air on stations in the Boston-Manchester-Worcester, Providence and Springfield markets, the advocacy group announced on Monday.
Available for viewing online, the ad was produced by Pagano Media in Worcester, and supported by regional tourism agency Discover Central Massachusetts. The ad is intended to celebrate a variety of sectors and industries in the city, including the life sciences, colleges, health care systems and the arts and entertainment spaces.
The commercial is expected to run for nearly a month, with another 15-second variation in the mix.

ITHACA, N.Y. - The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation has approved a grant of $1.2 million to extend the Mellon Collaborative Studies in Architecture, Urbanism and the Humanities (AUH) interdisciplinary seminar series at Cornell University for three years with a focus on social justice.
The grant supports innovative, cross-disciplinary coursework on one of the most pressing problems of this generation: equity and justice in the U.S. built environment, said Meejin Yoon, the Gale and Ira Drukier Dean of Architecture, Art and Planning (AAP), which shares planning and administration of the seminars with the Society for the Humanities, in the College of Arts and Sciences (A&S). ....
