Atlantic Bridge, one of Europe’s top performing growth technology funds, has today announced the launch of University Bridge Fund II, an €80m fund focused on scaling and commercialising extensively validated research from Ireland’s third level institutions into the next generation of deep tech companies with global potential.
The fund is a unique partnership between Atlantic Bridge and Irish universities Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin and University College Cork to accelerate the commercialisation of world class science and to globally scale the companies formed. Its goal is to maximise the benefit from research that takes place in the higher education sector. ....

Atlantic Bridge launches €80m fund for university spin-outs

The new fund will support the scaling of research spin-outs into the next generation of international deep-tech companies.
Investment firm Atlantic Bridge has launched its second University Bridge Fund with returning support from previous investors and a new university partner.
The €80m University Bridge Fund II will target funding at spin-outs from validated research at Irish universities.
Atlantic Bridge is specifically interested in funding the next generation of deep-tech companies across sectors such as AI, robotics, quantum computing, the internet of things and health-tech. It is also directing this fund towards companies addressing global issues such as energy efficiency, climate, sustainability, carbon reduction and healthcare. ....
