A Milledgeville man has died after being a struck by a pickup truck last Saturday, local and state authorities say.
The incident occurred on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Milledgeville shortly after midnight on Dec. 12.
The victim was identified as Dari Keith Evans, of the 1100 block of Warren Street, according to an accident report filed by Trooper Willie Stephens of the Georgia State Patrol post in Milledgeville.
Evans was pronounced dead from his injuries at the emergency room of Atrium Health Navicent Baldwin hospital in Milledgeville.
Baldwin County Deputy Coroner Steve Chapple worked the case.
The investigating trooper said Evans was walking westbound along North Clarke Street toward the intersection at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive before the accident. ....
