CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa.
Update, 3/9, 6:28 a.m.: According to police, the 14-year-old who was ejected from the horse and buggy has died. The 6-year-old who was ejected is still recovering.
Update, 3/4, 8:15 a.m.: Police have provided an update regarding the crash and the condition of the passengers who were ejected from their horse and buggy, as well as the driver who hit them.
The crash happened along the 1200 block of Route 11 in Southampton Township at 8:46 a.m. on March 3. The driver of the car involved in the crash hit the rear driver’s side of the horse and buggy, which caused the driver and two passengers to be ejected. ....

One person injured after multi-vehicle crash on Route 11 in Perry County

PERRY COUNTY, Pa. One person is injured after a multi-vehicle crash on Route 11.
According to emergency dispatch, the crash occurred just after 6:00 a.m. on Feb. 4 and left both directions of the roadway closed between Red Hill Road and Sunbury Street for about two hours.
As of 8:15 a.m., a lane of Route 11 was open in each direction.

CARLISLE, Pa. Interstate 81 was shut down in both directions near Carlisle as emergency crews battle a barn fire, a State Police spokesperson said Thursday.
The fire was reported around 2:16 p.m., according to emergency dispatch. The building involved is a barn located on the 1100 block of Harrisburg Pike in Middlesex Township.
Fire crews got the blaze under control around 4 p.m. and no injuries were reported. ....

911 service completely restored in 13 Pennsylvania counties

Franklin County Chairman Commissioner Dave Keller announced Thursday that all 911 service has been restored to the county.
PEMA officials report that service to the other dozen counties had been completely restored by 1 .
That means all 911 emergency non-emergency phone lines and all Franklin County Department of Emergency Services call center operations are functional.
Franklin County has an outstanding network of emergency service providers who stepped in to receive direct calls from residents with emergencies. Fortunately, no serious issues were reported as a result of the outage, Keller said in a statement.
Service was out for approximately 20 hours. ....
