PENNSAUKEN - Motorists traveling to Northeast Philadelphia from the Betsy Ross Bridge will have to cope with more detours if headed to Interstate 95.
As of Thursday night there was no direct access to I-95 from the Betsy Ross Bridge because of long-term construction on the Pennsylvania side.  The bridge connects connects Pennsauken in South Jersey with  Northeast Philadelphia.
The northbound I-95 ramp closed after 8 p.m. and will remain closed for about a year, according to a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) news release. The southbound ramp already had closed months ago and its closure will continue,
All bridge traffic is being detoured to and around Aramingo Avenue. Instead of using the Betsy Ross, drivers on the South Jersey side of the Delaware River headed to northbound 95 also can opt to use the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge in Palmyra to cross into Northeast Philadelphia.   ....
