Amazon will build a sortation facility, shown in a rendering, at Mingo Road and 36th Street North.
Amazon is building another large-scale facility in Tulsa.
The company chose a 40-acre site at Mingo Road and 36th Street North for a 270,000-square foot sortation facility, the point between fulfillment centers and Amazon’s last-mile delivery stations.
Mayor G.T. Bynum said the sortation center is a $32 million project, Amazon’s third large investment in Tulsa.
We’ve gone in a five-year period of time from being a city with no Amazon presence other than the boxes that arrived at people’s homes to being a city where Amazon was our largest new employer in the history of the city when they came to town and they’ve built two other facilities. Or, at least they’ve built one other, and then the other is now going to be under construction, Bynum said. ....

Tulsa International Airport To Offer Travelers COVID-19 Testing
COVID-19 testing will soon be available to travelers passing through Tulsa International Airport.
The Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust voted Thursday morning to allow an on-site testing station for COVID-19, the flu, and RSV.
Officials said The COVID-19 PCR test will cost $135, rapid antigen test $70, antibody test $75, and complete respiratory panel including the PCR test $185.
TIA said it is the first airport in the country to have an on-site lab for PCR testing.
It said travelers will get their results in minutes.
The testing services will be available by walk-in or appointment starting January 4, 2021 inside the B terminal baggage claim area. ....

Tulsa International Airport to offer on-site COVID-19 testing for travelers in January

On Thursday, the Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust board approved a lease with Tulsa-based Alpha Medical Laboratory, LLC.
The 1,300-square-foot testing site, to be located inside the B Terminal baggage claim area, will offer the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test, rapid antigen test and the COVID-19 antibody test. A complete respiratory panel testing for COVID-19, flu A&B, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) also will be available.
Tulsa International Airport does not require a negative COVID test to fly, nor do any airlines. But depending on the destination state, country or territory, some carriers may require proof of a negative test before traveling or upon arrival to avoid any required quarantine period. ....
