Call for bids 2021 to 2022: support for British detainees overseas facing the death penalty

Background
In support of our aim to deliver a consistently high quality consular service for British nationals in detention overseas, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) works in partnership with other organisations to provide specialist assistance to British prisoners in death penalty cases. This supports a long-standing UK policy to oppose the use of the death penalty in all circumstances.
Globally, the FCDO is currently providing consular assistance to 10 British nationals sentenced to death and over 40 British nationals at risk of the death penalty.
Proposals are invited from organisations with relevant expertise to augment, with additional specialist support, the consular assistance our staff provide to British nationals in detention overseas facing the death penalty, as we work together to avoid British nationals being executed. ....

Bern, 13.01.2021 - The newly restructured State Secretariat of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs FDFA started work at the beginning of 2021. It comprises six geographic, five thematic divisions as well as four divisions providing specific services. Now located under one roof, their close proximity will result in greater coherence in Swiss foreign policy as a whole. The State Secretariat is headed by State Secretary Livia Leu. She will be supported by two Deputy State Secretaries, Patric Franzen and Johannes Matyassy, who also have line management responsibilities. The Federal Council has been informed about the appointment of the two deputy state secretaries on 13 January 2021. ....
