Panic in Ogun community as herdsmen threaten to attack residents for poisoning their farms


Some residents of the community have reportedly fled their homes after some killer herdsmen allegedly killed one of them during an argument.
According to Punch, the herdsmen, who killed the villager invaded the community after one of them was held because his cattle destroyed their farms.
The killing of the resident provoked the villagers to poison their farms. This reportedly led to the death of some cows.
Angered by the death of their cows, the herdsmen allegedly threatened to return to the village and attack the people.

Province reports 1,776 new first vaccine doses – 70.09 per cent of eligible residents have received first dose

Health officials reported 31 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, along with 60 recoveries, no deaths, and 1,776 new first vaccine doses.
A total of 724,188 residents who are eligible for the vaccine have now received a first dose. That’s 70.09 per cent of the 12 and older population. Roughly 41.5 per cent of eligible residents are fully vaccinated.
North Central reported 1,113 new vaccine doses administered in the Wednesday COVID update. Saskatchewan reported 17,420 in total.
North Central also reported two new COVID-19 cases, both of which were in Prince Albert, plus four new recoveries.

Health officials reported 17 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, along with 98 recoveries, no new deaths, and 981 new first doses administered.
Monday’s new case total was the lowest for a single day since Oct. 7, 2020, when the province announced 10.
Prince Albert reported one new case on Monday. That was the only new case in the North Central Zone. The region also announced 19 recoveries, which dropped North Central’s active case total to 37.
As of Monday, Prince Albert has 26 active cases, while North Central Zone 1 has 10 and Zone 3 has just one.

Health officials reported 48 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, along with 96 recoveries and no new deaths.
The province also announced another 22,308 vaccine doses administered, 1,998 of which were first doses. There are now 394,774 fully vaccinated residents, 27,815 of which are in North Central.
North Central reported six new cases on Sunday, plus seven recoveries. There are now 55 active cases in the region. That’s the lowest total in North Central since April 8.
All six North Central cases were in Prince Albert. There are now 11 active cases in North Central Zone 1, 41 in North Central Zone 2, which includes Prince Albert, and three in North Central Zone 3.
