Candidates who have taken the competitive exam for Assistant Statistical Officer posts conducted by Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) staged a protest in front of the Commission office here on Tuesday demanding announcement of results of the exam as the High Court has vacated stay.
They alleged that the State government has been playing with their lives by not filling the posts for the last three years even after conducting the exam. The protest was held under the aegis of Telangana Unemployed Joint Action Committee led by N. Venkatesh. ....

The Telangana Unemployed Joint Action Committee staged a protest at the Education Minister’s office here on Saturday demanding issuance of orders for renewal of contract for 1,940 guest lecturers teaching in 132 government degree colleges in the State.
The guest lecturers were not being paid any remuneration although the online classes had begun in September last itself. As the colleges were set to re-open from February 1, the guest lecturers were a worried lot as they have neither received renewal orders nor the remuneration for the last several months. ....

The Telangana Unemployed Joint Action Committee has demanded that the State government drop its plans to increase the retirement age of its staff from the existing 58 years to 61 years stating that such a step would force the unemployed youth into frustration further.
A protest was held at Indira Park here on Thursday decrying the recent announcement by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao that the government would increase the retirement age of the employees soon, as promised before the last Assembly elections. Several backward classes associations and Communist Party of India (CPI) expressed solidarity with the protest. ....
