National Backward Classes Welfare Association present R. Krishnaiah has requested Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to come to the rescue of families of about 16,000 education volunteers working for government schools by extending the relief of ₹ 2,000 and 25 kg of rice per month now given to teaching and non-teaching staff of private schools.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister on Thursday, he said education volunteers were finding it difficult to survive as they had not been getting salaries for the last 14 months due to closure of schools. As many as 18,885 volunteers were selected for government schools based on their B.Ed, D.Ed and TET performance, merit, roster and reservation. ....

Lack of job openings increasing frustration among youth, says BC leader
President of National Backward Classes Welfare Association R. Krishnaiah has requested the government to take up filling of vacancies in all departments since appointment of members and Chairman of the Public Service Commission and appointment of vice-chancellors to all universities has been completed.
In separate letters addressed to the TSPSC and vice-chancellors on Tuesday, Mr. Krishnaiah said the educated youth in the State were highly dejected and disappointed due to lack of recruitment notifications for long and further delay in taking up the recruitment process would push them into further depression. He mentioned that several youth had ended their life so far due to lack of employment opportunities. ....

On 26 February 2021, the Supreme Court issued a notice to the central government on a petition seeking caste-based census in the country. The petition said that such a census would address the lack of data needed to provide adequate reservations in jobs and admissions to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) or the Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC). The proforma for the 2021 census has been announced, the petition said, adding it has 32 columns with headers Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Hindu, Muslim, Christian, etc but has no mention of the OBCs. It sought urgent court intervention to introduce such a proforma for the 2021 census that has a column for the OBCs. ....
